Chapter 457: Calling Father

Having lived in the chaotic realms of sin for so many years, he naturally knew of the term “cultivator”. Meng Yi’s gradually disappearing figure deeply shocked the old herdsman. In all his years, he had never witnessed a human figure that could become illusory.

Staring at the seemingly ordinary grassland before him, Meng Yi stretched out his right arm and thrust it forward. Then, something astonishing happened - his right arm suddenly vanished before his very eyes. When he retracted it, it emerged from the void once more.

This sight was simply incredible, but to Meng Yi, it was just a clever illusion, nothing more than child’s play in his eyes.

A hint of amusement flickered across his lips as Meng Yi stepped into this spatial domain.

At first glance, it appeared to be a boundless grassland with no borders or end. If a mortal were to come here, they would be filled with despair. The numerous human bones scattered beneath their feet were a testament to how many people had been trapped and killed by this simple illusion.

Meng Yi sighed helplessly and continued forward. The person who set up this illusion must have been helpless as well. If they hadn’t hidden this passageway with an array, the two worlds would have been thrown into chaos.

Ahead of him was a large, black hole surrounded by a swirling vortex of qi. This aura carried with it a dizzying effect that those below the Eighteen Heavenly Layers were unable to overcome. This was the reason why Meng Yi and Ding Wangqing had fainted when they first crossed over.

Without any hesitation, Meng Yi leaped directly into the black vortex. His vision immediately blurred, and even his Divine Consciousness could not extend forward even a single inch. His figure continued to surge forward, onward and onward…

In a vast courtyard, a five-year-old child was gleefully chasing after a round leather ball. Beside him, a woman was arranging clothes out to dry, her face filled with a gentle smile as she watched the child’s joyful antics.

Perhaps he had not controlled his strength well, but the child suddenly kicked the ball too hard, sending it flying out the gate. He turned around, his face filled with embarrassment. “Mother, Lulu is so clumsy…”

Looking at the child’s innocent smile, the woman chuckled softly. “Go on, fetch it and keep playing.”

The child responded and happily ran out the door.

But when a sudden cry rang out from outside, the woman’s expression changed and she shot out the door like lightning.

Fortunately, the child was unharmed, but his ball had been picked up by a stranger who was looking at the mother and son with a smile.

“Fei’er, it’s me, Meng Yi…” The man’s tone was calm as he walked up to the child, picked him up, and handed him the ball, saying, “Call me Daddy…”

“Fei’er… it’s me, Meng Yi…” “Fei’er… it’s me, Meng Yi…” These words echoed in the woman’s mind like thunder, stunning her on the spot. Her vacant eyes searched the man’s face.
